Fabrics At The Forum
Doing what you love and making a living from it is a dream come true for me. I moved my whole fabric business to online nearly two years ago now. I haven’t regretted that move. Financially, it made more sense in the long run. But I do miss the face to face contact with local customers. Trading at craft markets affords me that opportunity. On the last Saturday of each month, I trade under the banner, Fabrics at the Forum.
The ‘Forum Food & Craft Market’ is an initiative skilfully managed by the Millennium Forum. The Millennium Forum is situated on Market Street in Derry City (Northern Ireland). On the last Saturday of each month, a collective of local artisans and crafters come together for a local craft fair event. This event showcases 20+ stalls of skilled designers and makers. Stalls include me, Fabrics at the Forum. Other stalls include cupcakes, home bakers, knitters, crochet, papercrafts, etc.
If you’re looking for something handmade and that little bit more special, then this is the place to be on the last Saturday of the month. Many of the designers and makers take custom orders. Something to bear in mind while shopping for those perfect Christmas gifts in the run up to the Festive season.
Details of the craft event can be found here on their Facebook Page. The next market is the last Saturday in October, just before Hallowe’en. I’m pretty sure there will be some great themed produce on that day.
And if you missed me this month, then you can still shop online at my Etsy Shop. I post every day of the week so you never have to wait for that package to arrive!. I also have a private Facebook group where I upload the new fabrics and discount codes for the Etsy shop. The link to join the Facebook group is here.
Below are some pictures of my stall from the event today.
I’d love to see you there next month!
